Strawberry Bath

Strawberry Bath


When bored with usual stuffs, can try out this simple recipe. When there were lot of strawberry's, I thought what to do?. Just flashed and the recipe is here below.
This is similar to Kesari Bath, Only the variation is Strawbery....!!!


Ingredients

1 Cup Rava (Suji)
5-6 Strawberry cut into pieces
1 Cup Sugar
2 Cups hot Water
1/2 Cup Ghee (clarified butter)
1/4 Tsp Cardamom powder
2 Tbsp chopped Cashew nuts and raisins








Method

1.Heat ghee in a pan, add sooji, stir and roast on low till a nice aroma is obtained.
2.Add water, Strawberry pieces, sugar to the roasted rava.
3.Let it boil till all the liquid is absorbed, it take around 5-7 min.
4.At last add cardamom powder switch off the gas and mix it.
5.Fry raisins and cashew nuts in 1 Tbsp of ghee and garnish, Strawberry Bath is ready to serve hot or cold.

Preparation time 20-25 mins

Eggless Choco moist cake


This is Eggless Chocolate moist cake. Its very easy and simple to prepare. This was my first attempt of making cake specially eggless after I came to US. This was a surprise cake on my Husband's B'day, It came out good. So I dare to put over here.You can see flower over the cake they are craft flowers just for decorating purpose. Hope you enjoy making it at home.



Ingredients

All purpose flour / Maida 1 1/2 cups
Coco powder 3 tea spns
Baking soda 1 tea spn
Salt 1/4 tea spn
Water 1/2 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Vanilla extract 1/2 tea spn
Oil/Butter 1/4 cup




Method

1.Mix water, sugar, oil, vanilla till the sugar completely dissolves.
2.Sift together flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda.
3.Add the flour mix to the liquid mixture one table spoon at a time.
4.Mix well to form a uniform dough.
5.Grease a baking dish with butter & sprinkle little maida.
6.Pour the batter in a baking dish & allow it to bake for about 30 -35 min at 350 F.
7.Let it get cool & then Serve.



Very Important points to note down while making cake

1. While mixing the cake mixer, mix in one direction only.
2. First mix all the dry ingrediants and then the wet ingrediants.
3. Dust the baking dish before you pour the cake mixer on it.
4. Baking vessel can be a Foil or a metal one .( Your choice, I used Foil Baking dish)
5. If you add Oil to cake it vil be more moist than a butter cake.

Mysore Masala Dosa

Mysore Masala Dosa


Mysore Masala Dosa is picked from one of my recipe book of Mrs. Mallika Badrinath.

Makes around 12 dosa


Ingredients

1 cup dosa rice
1/4 cup poha
1 tbsp Urad dal
1 tbsp Toor dal
1/2 tsp methi seeds
11/2 tbsp Suji
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Sugar







Method

1.Soak Rice, Methi, Urad, Toor dal for 2 to 3 hours.
2.Gring them all together. While grinding add poha.
3.Add salt and allow it to ferment for 16 - 18 hours.
4.Next day before making dosa add Suji, sugar and mix it.
5.Make dosa as thin as poosible.
6.Serve dosa with coconut chutney and Aloo bagi(Subji).
